Release notes.
Every change, every fix, every new model — the running log of Peeksolve.
- Day Pass — one-time $2.50 purchase for 24 hours of full Pro access, Agent included. Perfect for exam day or a one-off project.
- Buying again while one is still active stacks the time.
- Promotion codes work at checkout for both Pro and Day Pass.
- Google sign-in no longer hits a "version outdated" error on the callback (top-level browser redirects don't send an Origin header).
- ⌘⇧A Agent (Pro) — reads the form on the page (inputs, dropdowns, radios, checkboxes), figures out the answers, and fills them in. Preview-then-apply by default, or one toggle for auto-apply.
- Agent always uses Claude Sonnet 4.5. Glow feedback on each filled field; toast confirming "X fields filled" when done.
- Agent UI inherits the same theme/transparency/font settings as the answer box.
- In-popup update banner so future updates are one click.
- OpenRouter removed as a BYO provider option (it's used internally by Pro). Existing OpenRouter users are migrated to Groq automatically.
- Pro subscription ($6.49/mo) via Stripe — access to Llama 4 Scout, Gemini 2.5 Flash, and Claude Sonnet 4.5, with no daily request limit.
- Pro model picker in the popup — fast / balanced / best, switchable per request.
- Free tier on the hosted backend — 5 prompts a day with no API key needed.
- Google sign-in option for accounts (previously magic-link only).
- English-only UI — consistent terminology across popup, account, landing.
- Privacy and Terms pages published for GDPR compliance.
- Usage display for OpenRouter — shows credits used / limit with a colored progress bar that turns orange when you cross 80%
- Quick-access dashboard links for Groq, Gemini, Claude and OpenAI right in the popup
- Refresh button to re-fetch usage on demand
- Persistent extension identity — a fixed manifest
keymeans your extension keeps the same Chrome ID across reinstalls. API keys, themes, custom shortcuts and saved box position now always survive an update. - First-time upgrade still requires re-entering settings — from 1.1.5 onwards, everything sticks.
- ESC closes the box — tap Escape when the answer box is visible and it dismisses instantly
- Check for Update button in the popup — reads
peeksolve.com/version.json - Update banner with 3-step install flow opens both the download and chrome://extensions in one click
- Version display in the popup so you always know what you’re on
- Record-your-own shortcut directly in the popup — click “Record”, press your combo, done. Works alongside the default ⌘⇧L.
- Custom shortcut works on any normal webpage. Chrome’s own pages still need the default shortcut.
- 5 AI providers: Groq, OpenRouter, Gemini, Claude, OpenAI — bring your own key
- OpenRouter model picker with curated free + paid vision models, plus a custom-ID input for anything else
- Fully transparent mode — toggle the box background to zero. No tint, no blur, just the text floating on the page.
- Drag any edge to resize — top, bottom, left, right, plus all four corners. Cursor changes on hover.
- Persistent position & size — move + resize the box once, it stays that way.
- Settings UI: theme color, opacity, text color, font size, custom shortcut — all with live preview
- Dark-mode popup UI
- Custom icons (16/32/48/128)
- Initial release with Gemini 2.0 Flash
- Capture-visible-tab screenshot pipeline
- Liquid-glass adaptive box with auto light/dark theme
- Draggable, dismissable with × or shortcut
What’s next
Rough order. Reality wins over planning.
Chrome Web Store
Submitted. Once approved, installs become one-click and updates happen automatically without re-downloading the ZIP.
Follow-up questions
Ask the answer box a follow-up without firing a new screenshot. Keeps context from the previous reply.
Pinning & history
Keep a small in-browser history of recent answers, pin the ones worth keeping around.
Voice output
Optional TTS read-out for accessibility — depends on the provider.
Shortcut profiles
Multiple shortcuts each tied to a system prompt — one for translate, one for code, etc.
Firefox + Safari
Different extension APIs. Manifest V3 is portable to Firefox; Safari needs a Mac-specific build. Both are doable, both are work.
Local-model support
Ollama / LM Studio endpoint as a BYO option, so you can run a vision model on your own machine fully offline.
Agent for multi-step tasks
Right now the Agent fills a single visible form. Next step: chain across multi-page wizards, scroll to load more, handle paginated forms.
Stay in the loop
Peeksolve doesn’t collect your email. To hear about updates, use the in-popup “Check for Update” button, or just visit this page now and then.
